Lake Nona Wave Garage
Lake Nona Wave Garage
Laser-cut Perforated Metal Aluminum Panels
Lake Nona Wave Garage is a striking design with a Braille-inspired perforated metal exterior. The laser-cut panels feature both small lettering as well as varying-sized apertures which can be interpreted to reveal inspirational messages. The new, 800 parking space structure opened at the end of 2021.
Poma provided massive laser-cut aluminum panels with both small and large perforations carved into the metal’s surface. The aluminum skin features circle cutouts of varying sizes and pops of LED accents that create a kaleidoscope of colors at night. The garage also has two glass-enclosed corner stairwells painted in different colors on each level and globe-shaped pendant lights in the corner towers. The garage features express ramps and an intelligent parking wayfinding system to make the parking experience efficient. The garage exemplifies Lake Nona's placemaking principles of transforming utilitarian structures into something special.
